Kalamazoo Valley Community College

While the cold weather may prohibit installation of the large format graphics for now...we are in the process of securing large format banners (for both interior and exterior presence) to be installed in (2) of the window bays at the Center for New Media as a temporary graphic display. These will essentially, “stand in”, for the more extensive graphics which will be re-visited as soon as the weather warms in the Spring.

The large banners will then be re-purposed and made into interior signage for use elsewhere on campus.

Warm weather has finally arrived! And...it's time to move ahead with our plans to install large format window graphics. The school will initially test this approach at the Texas Township main entrance. Once it's up and both final approval is received and the budget will allow...we will begin moving forward instaling these graphics across all three college campuses.

Please check out the large banners when you have a chance. The large scale is impressive. We've had very, very favorable reactions to these graphics.

Very soon (wishfully thinking that winter's almost over...) you'll see these re-appear elsewhere on campus as vibrant hanging banners and/or stretched over frames as wall graphics.

We met today (Nov 17/09) with Daryl and Scott from KV and Tom Brussé from Agio Imaging to make final plans for the “Plan B” banner installation short-term test at the Center for New Media. Final artwork will be sent to Agio this week and installation will soon follow.

In the meantime, we are working on final large format window graphic concepts for the applications we've shown so far. With final approvals in place, we will be set to begin production and schedule installations at the five campus locations throughout Kalamazoo as soon as air temps reach 50º and stay there...probably April, perhaps as early as March. It really depends on the weather.

I love the window graphics. I really look forward to seeing the buildings with them in the Spring.
